"Mark Only" Guide

The "Mark Only" feature in the Overlength preset is designed to mark edges of holes in plates without cutting them. This provides flexibility during the manufacturing process for manual adjustments.

How to Use "Mark Only"

  1. Access the Overlength Preset:

    • Open your model in the Model Viewer.

    • Navigate to the Overlength preset in the right sidebar.

  2. Select the Hole Edge:

    • Identify and click on the edge of the hole on the plate that you wish to mark.

  3. Apply "Mark Only":

    • With the edge selected, click the "Yes" button under the "Mark only" title.

    • This marks the edge as a reference in the dxf file instead of a cut line.

    • Note: You can apply "Mark Only" to multiple hole edges.

  4. Produce the DXF File:

    • Generate the dxf file as usual. The "Mark only" edges will appear as marker lines for manual adjustments.

Important Notes:

  • "Mark Only" cannot be applied to outlines, only to hole edges.

This feature simplifies the marking process, ensuring precise manual modifications without committing to immediate cuts.
