Overview

Quickly locating the right part is essential for efficient workflows, especially in complex models. Workshop Pro’s Search features let you instantly find parts by name, tag, assembly, material, or any attribute—then jump straight to them in 3D for immediate action.

How to use Global Part Search

  1. Open the search bar in the Workshop interface.

  2. Enter a part name, tag, assembly, or material.

  3. Browse the results and select a part to highlight it in 3D and auto-focus the camera.

This allows you to locate the right part instantly without browsing through lists or the model tree—saving time and reducing errors.

Tip: Use global search to jump directly to any part for inspection, editing, or documentation.

How to use Attribute Search (Advanced)

  1. Open the advanced search or attribute filter panel.

  2. Enter one or more attribute terms (e.g., thickness, forming, profile length, material). You can use multi-term queries and ranges (e.g., “thickness: 10-20mm, material: steel”).

  3. Attribute search works alongside presets for even faster filtering.

  4. Results update instantly; select a part to highlight and focus in 3D.

This lets you zero in on exactly what you need for checks or edits, with fewer clicks and less manual filtering.

Tip: Combine attribute search with presets to quickly audit or edit groups of parts based on specific criteria.
